💪🏼Prep Tip of the Week – My Go-To Pre-Workout Snack Fueling properly before training makes a big difference to performance and recovery. My go-to pre-workout snacks? A Squares bar or a banana (sometimes both 🐷). Both are quick to digest, give you an easy energy boost, and won’t sit heavy in your stomach. Getting an easily digestible carb source just before training can provide you with the right amount of energy to help you perform at your best. 👋 Meet Jess, on the our originals and still going strong. From wedding prep to more than a decade of training strong, Jess has been part of the CrossFit GB family for nearly 12 years — one of our longest-serving and most dedicated members! Jess first discovered CrossFit in the lead-up to her wedding. and absolutely loved it. Since then, she’s become an integral part of our community. As a busy mum of two boys, wife to Nick, and working full-time in procurement, Jess knows the value of carving out time for herself. “CrossFit is my hour to switch off and focus on myself. Set yourself a minimum number of sessions each week (2–3 is a great start) and commit to hitting them no matter what. If possible, try to train at the same times or days as this helps build a routine that sticks. Plan ahead and book your sessions early. Treat them like appointments with yourself, because they are.
