Guys, we are fast approaching December (which is mental!), need anyone who's planning on coming to purchase their Xmas party tickets by clicking HERE and booking on via teamup. This year it will be at Cosy Club (Corn Street) from 6:30pm. It's going to be great fun so please try and come along for a few drinks. If you can't attend, we will be doing our traditional '12 Days of Xmas' Wod in the morning, followed up with mince pies and mulled wine and of course the annual awards at the gym. Good morning team, I hope everyone is well. Thank's to all those that took part in the comp yesterday and everyone that came down to support. Next Saturday is our Bring a Friend to class and this week it will be with coach Hayden. Let me know if you plan on bringing someone down and I can get them booked on. Great opportunity if you have any friends or family members that have been talking about it, to bring them down to give it a try. Guys, next week is the Anniversary Throwdown at the gym. For those of you that aren't sure what that means, basically we are having a fun, in-house festival of workouts for everyone to get involved in (all abilities). It will be 3 workouts and a final for the top 3 teams, and it's just a really fun way of marking the 11 year anniversary of CrossFit GB. The plan is to get things going around 9am and be done and dusted by 12:30pm at the latest so you'll still have plenty of the day free. Good morning team, as previously mentioned I will be making some tweaks to the timetable (all of which will be updated and visible via Boxmate and Teamup). Note, these changes are by no means permanent, but based on the survey results you all kindly filled in for me last week, class attendances that I have been monitoring, and just general feedback from talking to you guys. I will be re introducing the CrossFit Kids sessions after a longer than planned break and these will be on a Tuesday and Thursday at 4:30pm. I can confirm that on Saturday 19th November, to celebrate the 11th anniversary of CrossFit GB we will be doing an in-house Throwdown (mini comp) which will be for all abilities and will consist of two workouts followed by a final workout for the top 5 teams. Good morning team, a quick update on the Sunday Sweat class. I have now opened this up to non members who can book on so if you know anybody that may like to join you for this session then they can book on via teamup. The sessions are every Sunday at 0815 and last 45 minutes. They are low skill circuit based sessions and a great way to burn off a few extra calories so if you're not already I highly recommend getting involved. Good morning team, I hope you guys are all enjoying the weekend. As always I have a great week of workouts planned for you all so try and make it in as often as you can. Just a quick reminder that Sunday's we do our Sweat sessions at 0815. It is a 45 minute class which focusses on just conditioning, nothing technical, nothing heavy just basic bodyweight / kettlebell movements combined with running, skipping, rowing etc. It's a great way to burn off a few calories without taxing the body too much for the week ahead.
