Evening all, apologies for the delayed post. I hope everybody has had a great weekend and is looking forward to getting back in the gym next week. Only two weeks until the gym social, it is going to be an epic weekend. SUP Wod in the morning and then a night out. Good afternoon guys, I hope you're all enjoying this beautiful weekend we're having. A few notices before I go into the programming; Next Tuesday both Assault Bikes and Ski Erg will be out of action until the evening as they are being serviced / repaired so please don't make any plans to use them. SID WOD 2 has been announced and it looks awesome. The Importance of Scaling Workouts

A question I get asked all the time, "Is it better to do a workout as prescribed (RX) and go slower or scale it and go faster?". Every workout we do is designed to provide a certain stimulus and in order to ensure you are getting the most from that workout you may need to Scale it. Scaling can include reducing the reps, reducing the weight or even switching up particular movements. When deciding whether to go Rx or to scale you need to ask yourself three questions; 1- What is the purpose of this workout? 2- What sort of time should it be taking? 3- Can I achieve the desired affect from the workout without changing anything or…

Evening guys, I hope you've all had great weekends. Congratulations to Towners on getting hitched this weekend, the weather couldn't have been better and both the bride and groom looked amazing. I am very VERY pleased to announce that we will be having our Summer Social on Saturday the 28th July. We will be doing the SUP Wod in the morning and then heading into town in the evening for a night of festivities. Happy Sunday guys, I hope you're all making the most of the Bank Holiday weekend, its a shame about the weather but hopefully it should brighten up tomorrow. Congrats to everybody that took part in todays Triathlon. Birthday girl Shona, Amy, Dan, Steve P, Balazs, Tom J and myself all took part in the Sri Chinmoy Sprint Tri this morning and it was Epic. Weather was horrendous but the event itself was great fun and will def be doing it next year. Hopefully we can get a few more involved.
